On June 8 the university students visited a heroine of TV Imedi project “Imedi Heroes” Tamar Gavashelashvili, the author of several books, an outstanding lady who has been awarded the Medal for Civic Service.
20 years ago Tamar founded Terjola House of Hope and made doing good deeds her mission in life. She is known everywhere in Georgia. A person, who is bed-ridden herself and is unable to take a single step on her own, dedicates her strength and energy to her cause fully.
At the moment she is the one who needs help most. A very expensive operation is needed for her to be able to walk again.
The university has made its small contribution to this charitable cause and the students personally visited the “Imedi Hero”.
Tamar Gavashelashvili spoke very briefly and modestly about her work and presented each of her guests with a book of her poetry.
We would like to wish this noble lady quick recovery.
