In accordance with Article 4 of the Regulations of the Dissertation Council of Kutaisi University Economics and Business Faculty PhD admission examinations for the academic year 2010-2011 should conform to the following requirements:
1. Administration of examinations:
1.1 Passing two examinations – in specialist area and a foreign language (English, French or German) - is a prerequisite to admission to the PhD program.
1.2 Examination boards approved by the University Rector are responsible for examination administration
1.3 The examination in a foreign language is at B2 level. Applicants having certificates confirming their language proficiency at B2 level are exempt from the examination.
1.4 The examination in a foreign language is administered in the form of a written test, whereas the examination in the specialist area is either written or oral.
1.5 Applicants’ performance is assessed on a scale of 100 points.
2. The lowest pass grade in a foreign language examination is 51 points.
3. Examination schedule
3.1 PhD admission examination in a foreign language is to be held on 17 January, 2011.
3.2 Examinations in specialist areas are to be held on January 25, 2011.
